WHY US

What you can count on

First in line when it fails

If your air conditioning stops working and you're on a plan, you go to the front of the queue. If you still have to wait, we bring you a loan unit.

Any brand, whoever fitted it

We maintain all the common brands, including systems another company installed. If we don't know what's been done to it before, we'll first work out what it needs.

Nothing extra without your OK

If we spot something during the service that needs extra work, we'll tell you what it is and what it costs first. We only go ahead once you've said yes.

HOW IT WORKS

Here's how it goes

  1. 01

    Count your indoor units

An indoor unit is the part of your air conditioning that hangs inside and blows the air. The number you have decides what you pay each year.

  2. 02

    We plan the service

You don't have to remember it. We keep track of when your air conditioning is due and let you know in good time when we're coming.

  3. 03

    The service at your home

The technician cleans the filters, the indoor unit and the evaporator, inspects the condensation tray and the fan, checks the drain, the airflow and the temperature, and cleans and inspects the outdoor unit. With one wall-mounted indoor unit it takes about 45 minutes, and afterwards they'll tell you what they found.

WHAT IT COSTS

One fixed price a year

Professional Air Conditioning Service: a service every year in which we clean, inspect, check and test your air conditioning. What you pay depends on how many indoor units you have. You pay once a year, never monthly, and all prices include VAT.

THREE TREATMENTS

What does your air conditioning need?

There are three treatments, each for a different situation: from a system that's serviced regularly to one that's heavily soiled. Prices are for one wall-mounted indoor unit and one outdoor unit, including VAT.

  • Serviced regularly

    Professional Air Conditioning Service

For air conditioning that's serviced regularly, with a normal amount of dirt.

The technician cleans, inspects, checks and tests your system. That's more than cleaning the parts you can see: they also check how it works, the airflow, the temperature, the condensation drain and its technical condition.

    Intensive Air Conditioning Clean

For air conditioning that's clearly dirty inside, or hasn't been serviced for a while.

The technician opens up the indoor unit further and thoroughly cleans the evaporator, the fan, the condensation tray, the drain and the inside of the casing, with a hygienic treatment as well.

    Specialist Deep Clean

For heavily soiled air conditioning, when a service or an intensive clean isn't enough.

With more dismantling, professional WIPCOOL equipment and cleaning products matched to your system and the dirt: steam, pulse, rinsing and ozone where needed. With before and after photos.

A dirty indoor unit up close: dust on the fins and black build-up in the tray that catches condensation.

QUESTIONS

Good to know

Is air conditioning maintenance required by law?

No, there's no legal maintenance requirement for an ordinary air conditioning system at home. The only recurring legal duty is a leak check, and that only applies once the refrigerant adds up to 5 tonnes of CO2 equivalent (Article 5, Regulation (EU) 2024/573); a split system with about 1 kilo of R32 refrigerant comes to 0.675 tonnes, well below that.

How often does air conditioning need a service?

For a system at home, once a year is usually enough. If you use it for cooling and heating all year round, twice a year can make sense, and the technician will tell you at the first service.

What does maintenance cost?

It depends on how many indoor units you have and how dirty your system is: that's why there are three treatments, from a regular service to a deep clean. A plan costs less than a one-off visit, and all prices include VAT.

My air conditioning smells. What's wrong?

A smelly air conditioner is almost always a dirty one: dirty filters, mould or bacteria on the fins behind the filter, or a dried-out condensation drain. A regular service usually sorts it out, and if the dirt goes deeper, it needs an intensive clean or a deep clean.

My air conditioning is leaking water. Is it broken?

Water from the indoor unit is almost always condensation, not refrigerant: usually the condensation drain is blocked or the filters are dirty. If the outdoor unit drips while it's heating, it's usually just defrosting and not broken.
